Why 3v3 indoor football?

Small-sided football is becoming a key part of youth player development, with England Football placing increasing emphasis on formats like 3v3 for younger age groups.

3v3 games give players:

  • More touches on the ball

  • More opportunities to make decisions

  • More 1v1 situations

  • More involvement in every moment of the game

This helps players develop faster, build confidence and enjoy the game more.

The EC3v3 Indoor League is built around this approach — combining the benefits of small-sided football with a structured weekly league format inside a unique enclosed arena.

What makes this league different

  • Weekly fixtures instead of one-off events

  • Fast-paced games inside the EC3v3 arena

  • High involvement for every player

  • League table and finals week

  • A fun, competitive and well-organised environment

How the league works

A clear and well-organised weekly league format designed to keep players active, engaged and excited to return each week.

Weekly Fixtures

Each team plays one scheduled match per week across the 6-week league season. Fixtures are organised in advance, so parents and players know exactly when they are playing each week.

Match Formats

Matches are played in a fast-paced 3v3 format inside the enclosed 3v3 arena. Games are short, intense and designed to maximise touches, decision-making and involvement for every player.

League Table

Results are recorded each week and contribute to the overall league table. This keeps every game meaningful and adds a competitive edge throughout the season.

Finals Week

At the end of the league, the top teams progress to finals week. Placement matches are also included, so every team finishes the season with a final competitive game.

Throughout the season

  • One game per team each week

  • Clear fixtures and smooth organisation

  • Minimal waiting and maximum playing time

  • Weekly progress and league standings

  • A positive, fun and competitive environment
